I really want to know the story behind this painting why are they both crying?
Based on lyrics to the song “Twin Size Mattress” by the Front Bottoms. I was really inspired by that song this year so I made about four paintings based off of it. The lyrics that inspired this one is “With tears in my eyes I begged you to stay, you said “hey man, I love you, but no fucking way.”” So basically I just imagined too people having to leave each other’s lives under bad circumstances. Like, they love each other but one of them has to leave. Love and pain at the same time, you know?
